This week, we will finish working on strategies for solving multiplication problems. We will also be starting division strategies.

This week’s focus; Correcting mistakes in sentences, writing complete sentences with subject and predicate, nouns, pronouns, proper nouns,verbs (past, present, future), adjectives, adverbs, compound words, syllables. Our new skill is learning about prefixes!
The next couple of weeks we will finish up our force and motion unit with an in class group project. The students will be solving a potential real life problem. A tiger at the zoo has fallen into a moat. Their job is to create a machine to lift the tiger out safely.

We will discuss how this natural disaster affected people in the area, as well as, surrounding areas.
We will also take time to examine this event using our skill of “cause and effect”.
